Lindsay McDonald is an Australian-born film maker and actor.
A graduate of WAAPA's Performance Making course, the University of Newcastle’s Architecture school, and AFTRS' Masters Directing course, Lindsay unites his diverse abilities spanning music, acting, writing, and design to breathe life into absurd, dark, and comic screen works.

Lindsay's AFTRS graduating short film Set Menu (2024) premiered at SXSW Sydney and went on to screen at the Adelaide Film Festival. It also earned a finalist award for the international 2024 CILCET Prize for best fiction.

Lindsay's directorial sensibilities are informed by a practice steeped in play and satirical jest. Described as a "master collaborator" by his peers, Lindsay's approach to film making creates a space for all to experiment.​

Currently in post-production on his next short film as writer/director/editor, Lindsay also proudly collaborates as a story developer, producer, and assistant director to bring other creatives' projects to life.
